WordPress has great plugins that make it a lot easier to use. Who needs to waste time redoing something when it is much easier and faster to duplicate and edit it with a simple plugin?
You can do this for:

The plugins below should work with any theme and play nicely with your other plugins. They also should not be a problem with Gutenberg, the new page editor that came with WordPress 5.0 in early December 2018.

There are several plugins like this one but I chose the one I use. It’s gotten great ratings and has been downloaded over 1/2 million times.
This plugin let you clone any post, page or custom post type. The default settings are most likely all that you’ll need, so it’s good to go right out of the box.
If you customize a widget (like the Text or HTML widget) and find that you need to make a copy of it, this is for you.
